Drummond Place

This is a vintage building where all apartments feature hardwood floors, sunny E and W exposures, various outdoor spaces for each floorplan, separate dining areas capable of being used as flex office spaces. The kitchens were all upgraded but the original built-in cabinets and bookcases between the kitchen and dining areas have been retained which contribute to its vintage character and charm.

There are separate bike racks and open storage in each basement section, a common laundry room with folding tables and a beautifully landscaped courtyard luscious with a Gingko tree and a wide variety of flowers. Everyone comments on its uniqueness and beauty. Security is a primary concern for us so there is a front entry gate with a telephone entry system which connects to your cell phone so you may buzz-in delivery people and guests. The entire perimeter of the property is secured with wrought-iron fencing and locked gates so residents have keys to access their apartment and common areas. As an added benefit Amazon deliveries have a keyless access to leave packages in the front mailbox lobbies for each section of the building. Besides the mandatory recycling we offer composting which is serviced by an outside vendor. Being environmentally supportive is important to us and our community.

This courtyard building is conveniently located near the Blue Line Logan Square train station. It is 2-1/2 blocks from the Spaulding/Milwaukee escalator serving that stop. It is also 3-1/2 blocks to the Logan Square Landmark statue of the Eagle where the ever-popular Logan Square Farmers Market is held every Sunday during the summer.

Drummond Place is a quiet tree-lined 1-way street which is accessed via St Louis St another 1-way street to the West. So there’s local traffic only. The properties on this block are either single family or 2-3 flats so it’s a lower density setting and street parking is not a problem and it is NOT located in a permit-parking zone.

Unity Park is across the street and runs the full block from Drummond Pl to Schubert Ave. Half of it is a children’s park (with a water park component) and the other half is a greenspace perfect for picnicking. They have offered movies in the park, neighborhood concerts, book fairs, children’s art projects and other neighborhood activities there. It’s a wonderful amenity for the neighborhood.
